Emotionally Focused Therapy

Emotionally Focused Therapy is an evidence based, research backed approach to couple therapy. The process builds in partners the capacity to experience their most vulnerable emotions, and encourages them to practice turning to one another for expression and comfort. Many of us grew up not knowing how to identify our emotions and needs, and not feeling safe to turn to our loved ones with them. In session we practice undoing aloneness and build the skills needed to be in a deep, intimate partnership.
