Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidence-based, research-backed therapy approach which helps to identify thoughts that lead to negative emotions and behaviors. Upon identifying, you can learn to modify them into helpful and healthy behaviors. CBT encourages us to face into situations that people tend to want to avoid. CBT may be helpful to those suffering from anxiety, suicidal ideation, insomnia, chronic pain, and depression. It can also be used for ADHD skill building in order to address challenges that come alongside the gift of neurodivergence.

The structure of CBT sessions, which can include setting an agenda, checking in, going over homework, and learning new skills, is one that many people enjoy. The ability to catch your thoughts and reframe them is a wonderful lifelong skill to have.
